**Return and Refund Policy**
**Return Window**: Customers are eligible to return the Hearth Stopper within 30 days of purchase.
**Warranty**: Each Hearth Stopper comes with a 2-year warranty.
This product is warranted to the original purchaser to be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of the original retail purchase. This warranty applies only to the original consumer purchaser and does not include business, commercial or industrial use of this product. This warranty does not cover defects or damage due to improper installation,alteration, accident, or any other event beyond the control of the manufacturer.This warranty does not cover scratching or damage that may result from normal usage. This warranty is non-transferable and is expressly limited to the repair or replacement of the defective product. During the warranty period, we shall repair or replace defective parts at no cost to the purchaser. All warranty claims must be made through the retailer where the product was originally purchased. A purchase receipt or other proof of date of purchase will be required to process all warranty claims. The model number and part numbers found within the assembly instructions will be required when submitting any parts requests or warranty claims.
**Damaged Products**: In the event of product damage, we will either replace the Hearth Stopper or offer a full refund, covering all shipping costs.
**Change of Mind**: If a return is initiated due to personal preference, the customer will bear all associated shipping costs.
Our return policy is simple: when your package arrives, open and inspect. Refund of shipping charges will depend on the reason for the return.
If you receive a damaged product: Every product that leaves our warehouse has been inspected and in grade A condition unless otherwise noted (such as our occasional Scratch & Dent sales). If you received a damaged item, we’ll file a claim with the carrier and send you a replacement, in which case shipping is our cost. We’ll work to resolve it in a manner that requires the least amount of effort from you possible.
If you are returning an item due to buyer’s remorse: We’ll refund you for the price of the item less shipping, as long as you return it in its original box and in saleable condition.
Returns must be sent back within 14 days. Please return it in the original package, and we’ll issue an exchange or refund depending on the circumstances. Before you drop it back in the mail, email us with your name and order #, let us know the reason for the return, and we’ll issue an RMA (return merchandise authorization). Write the RMA number on the package, as this will make your refund as prompt as possible.
